Application
This electrostatic powder coating unit uses high voltages, compressed air and powder paint.
Electrostatic powder coating is a coating method in which powder paint is electrically charged and made to deposit on work to be coated by electrostatic force.
General process of powder deposition by electrostatic powder coating unit
(1) Powder paint is mixed in a powder hopper using compressed air. (Fluidized).
(2) The fluidized powder paint is vacuum suctioned from the powder paint tank by the injector pump
and conveyed by air through the powder hose the gun.
(3) High voltage is impressed from the electrode on gun tip, forming a corona charge which charges
the powder paint.
(4) Powder paint is conveyed by the air spray as well as the electrostatic force of the charge and
electrical field formed by the electrode on the gun tip and is deposited on grounded work to be
coated.
